This development includes high-end retail and office space, luxury residential units and a roof-top restaurant. The project included a complex façade retention.
We undertook two phases of investigation, including the following:
- Cable percussive boreholes to between 40m and 65m depth
- Rotary cored borehole to 71.50m depth using Geobor S techniques to provide high quality soil core samples
- Hand excavated trial pits to expose existing foundations and services
- In-situ self-boring pressuremeter testing
- Downhole seismic testing (using specialist sub-contractor) to determine shear modulus
- Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) using basement system with existing foundation for reaction
- Contamination testing
